New American Eagle Owner

I'm not necessarily new to the forum but recently moved up a bit. I had a 1997 34' Fleetwood Storm that I sold about a month ago. My wife and I wanted to move up a few years and a few more amenities. The plan was to wait until the right deal on the right unit was available. It turned out that an estate was holding title to a 2001 40' American Eagle which was definitely in need of some deferred maintenance. The price was too good to turn down so I now have a nice "project" coach on my hands. So far the drive train and chassis have been completely checked out and all is good. My checklist of about 20 items that the coach needs to have addressed will all be taken care of in the next few months. I'm sure I'll be posting more questions from fellow AE owners while I'm enjoying the labor of love in bringing this beauty back to the real head turner it is. Thanks for all you do on this forum!

Love the Eagles, a good quality coach. Enjoy and hope your project goes well. Safe travels. Keep us informed as you update and post some pictures. You may want to post on another forum, such as Fleetwood products, I'm sure other owners would like to see your progress. Safe travels.

Hi Dan! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join us!

WOW! I bet you got yourself a steal on that MH! My mama always told me that "good things come to those that wait", and she must have been right! Hope the restoration goes well and you don't find anything seriously wrong.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
