New Family Here

Well after doing as many of you have we went from tent to "To Big " to be pulled comfortably and tried everything in-between. We are a young family (two sons 1 and 7 ) surrounded by mountains (idaho) so it has always crossed my mind that it would seem much safer if the tow rig was the heavy unit in the train. So about a year and a half ago we sold the weekend warrior and associated Powerstroke that only really got used to drag the trailer and the search begain. Boy what an Eye opener I soon found that what I thought was acceptable and what was out there where very different things and my thoughts of a Super Clean Well maintained unit in my price range was not going to happen . So with much influence from my wife ( after 14 years of marriage the DW thing don't fly ) , but since she is not here . With much influence from my DW our budget went up as did the requirement to finance . At this point I was undecided on Chassis ,DP,Gas or coach builder .

Whoops 1 year old helped . After numerous trips to local dealers one of which we have bought a couple Weekend Warriors among others where sending me pics weekly usually as soon as our saleswomen new that the trade in was signed but Everything was just wrong one way or another . So about to give up I discovered this group of forums and started reading many of the the owners forums and discovered a whole group of high end coaches that we had not seen on many lots and when we did where clearly out of our price range . But the point was I thought these have to be out there and I would imagine at some very good prices due to the way Banks and nada work. So off we went again and after what seamed like endless evenings for months checking every Internet site I could find . It appeared, after much discussion with the owner I had found our coach. I purchased it site unseen and 3 weeks later my 7 year old and myself made a 800 mile trip and it now resides on our Rv pad and I enjoy looking at it daily and am often finding reasons to run it out to the shop (5 mi. ) a few evenings a week , but usually always end up for a little cruise for ice cream with the family . What it is 1992 Country Coach Sedona 36' cat/allison ,Gillig Air Ride , and most options for that era coach . 60,000 , all manuals and O&M data in original binder , service records , heck it has the original matching lawn furniture underneath that I doubt has been used. Factory bra and snap on windshield cover . The best thing is I was able to pay for it for we'll under our original budget and this will give us time to really decide what we want and need when we do upgrade. I will post more specifics in the owners forum . Sorry if my spelling is horrible but iPhone seems to know more than me most times .

I just looked at one of these for a friend, was very impressed! A pristine one is a great value, a real magic carpet ride for the kids.

It seems like you've really hit a bulls eye. Enjoy!
