New from Black Forest, Colorado
First time RV owner with an OLD 1995 Class C RV that fit our budget just right. It was super clean and drives great. It's decked out as a "Mile High Magic" tailgating machine...funny since we don't even watch football. We love meeting people who do, though. Good thing, since every time we stop for gas, someone is coming over to shake our hands.
So far I have replaced the hot water heater and the tires. Working on adding a residential apartment refrigerator. Solar power will likely need to wait until Spring 2017. Added a cheap, but awesome, back up camera from aliexpress. Even with all these mods, we still could sell it for more than we have in it since we got it so low!
The trips we've taken already make it PRICELESS. It's also a bonus for around town. We take visitors touring the Air Force academy in it and park it on the beach at Lake Pueblo for the day. Headed to AZ and CA in a couple of weeks. Hope to find a beach somewhere in SoCal that we can camp at...don't know if that exists. Then planning for Walt Disney World in Feb 2016!
Having fun so far. It's been a huge learning curve, though. Grateful for all the info we can find here!!
