New from PA
Just wanted to take a minute and say hi to everyone. We are from PA and looking at potentially buying our first motorhome. Since I am constantly traveling for work, currently in the Northern Virginia area, we are thinking about purchasing a motorhome that we can use as our residence while away for work so the family can stay together. Of course the challenge is finding an affordable and close to work long term campground so if anyone has any thoughts it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all for the best wishes.
TonyDi, currently work is in Northern Virginia (Alexandria), but looking to stay out towards the Dulles Airport area. From research my wife has done, I know there the Northern Virginia Regional Park authority operates campgrounds with limited amenities, however they limit your stay to 14 days in season and 28 days out of season (a minor inconvenience to a certain degree). The other two places are a bit far for a commute into the DC area, especially since they involve I-66.
Thanks everyone!

Certainly doable .... first recommendation would be get out and look at a bunch of MHs ... finding type and size to fit your needs .... that would give you a better idea of what a budget might look like .... it could be anything new or used, depending on the type of investment you want to make ....
Staying in a coach for long periods of time will be much nicer in the size and floor plan your comfortable in.
tho we've not been in your area, I'm certain there are places to park your home away from home .... I'm certain there are lots of folks up in here from your area that could give some advise on that ....
Enjoy the search .... and hope you can put together something that will fill the bill and create fond memories .... it tis an adventure after all .........
