New From Waco Texas

Just bought a 2008 Bounder 35E. Before the Bounder we had a 2010 Rockwood 2604 Ultra Lite. Been lurking on this forum for awhile and decided to join. Wife and I are retired. I enjoy traveling, she says the right seat goes where the left seat goes (I think she does enjoy traveling but won't admit it). Just the two of us and an idiot yorkie. I am considering a HHR as a toad and have gained a lot of information from this forum.
Thanks

Welcome to iRV2. Drop down and look at the Texas Boomers in the South Central section. Love to have y'all attend a rally or two or three.

HHR is a great tow car. We have towed ours, an (09 ) over 11,000 miles in 8 months and all is well. Easy to tow and stop.

We've been towing an HHR since it was new ('06) and have never had a problem. Just as a hint of a shortcut, the owners manual says to remove fuse 8 from the fuse panel when towing. I took the fuse out and NEVER put it back. Here's what I know about that fuse... it keeps the computer from registering an error code it someone tries to start the car without the right key. I went to Chev and got a spare (non-chipped) key I leave in the ignition while towing (rather than the real key). If I were to acccidently try to start the car with the spare key it would give an error code. With the fuse out, no error code. Therefore the fuse is almost useless. I've had mine out for 5 years and 102000+ miles.

We're just up the road at Pecan Plantation. They've got a nice RV park, full hookups, on the river near one of our several beaches.

A good deal: we're in a private community with 65 miles of streets inside its gates, with an RV park available for guests.
