New Guy

Hello everybody, I just signed up for this site. I just bought my 3rd RV.

My first RV was a 22ft Sandpiper Toy Hauler. It was used and I pulled it with my 2006 Dodge 3500 gasser, until that Sandpiper fell apart, and I sold it and the truck. I will never buy another 3/4 gas truck.

Fast Forward a couple of years and I am no longer racing motorcycles and my government job moved me to the east coast. I bought a jeep and about a year ago I decided to full time in Jersey. So I bought a used 2005 Damon Tuscany Diesel Pusher to full time. That was an expensive mistake as I just could not keep with the maintenance. I bought the Coach in Texas and I didn't look closely for rust. Only to find out it was a Wisconsin coach. I learned a lot of lessons in the last year.

Lesson Number 1. If you see rust on a used RV RUN away fast
Lesson Number 2. The more bells and whistles the more things break.
Lesson Number 3. Whomever developed a remote control heater Thermostat that only goes down to 63 is an idiot. That wasted a lot of propane keeping my coach from freezing when I wasn't there.
Lesson Number 4. Diesel MH's need to be driven.
Lesson Number 5. Getting things fixed at a diesel shop is very expensive.

Okay I decided that the DP was falling apart and it needed to be gone. So I traded it in on a new 2014 Keystone Raptor 310TS. I love it so far. I am currently shopping for a truck. Thank you in advance for all the advice you all will give me.
