New guy at IRV2
Howdy,
Although I have from time to time lurked here I was a member at RV.NET until couple days ago. Got 'deactivated' for not being a CW Cheerleader or at least I guess that was reason. No one bothered to notify/contact me just found out I could no longer log in.
Anyway.........
Been camping/RVng since a kid back in the 60's.
Have own numerous rigs from tent, pop-up, TC, TT, FW
GF and I are retired and spent 7 yrs. Full Timing
Bought another home 2 1/2 yrs. ago in AZ
Hope I can contribute here or at least jump in with my 2 cents.

Sorry pal 2 cents won't cover it anymore, it went the way of the dime for a cup of coffee.
You'll have to kick in your $2.00 worth now.

Used to pay 20 cents a gallon for gas. I'd be on the road all the time at that price.

I'm also a new member and after retiring last January, my wife Janet and I decided to purchase a motor home so we picked up a 2013 Sunseeker 3170 with 2,500 miles on her. Previous owner traded up to something larger.
We're newbies to RVing so we have a lot to learn but are looking forward to hitting the road in February down to Florida as our first big trip!
My biggest fear right now is when we go to pick her up at the dealer in a couple of weeks that I might hit something or God forbid someone on the way home as I have never driven anything this large before (32 Feet)!
Next summer we are going to visit my brother in California and park it out in his driveway!
If anyone is interested or cares I'll update if we make it home safely!
Bob
ps...Being retired doesn't mean you don't have a boss!!

Bob,
Just remember "wide corners," and things should work out OK. You are basically sitting over the steering wheels of your unit so you can't start into a corner like a normal vehicle.

So ....$2.00 gets you the best Rv information available on the net? Heck I would pay $2.00 every time I log on....

Thanks Cletus that's what others have told me is the main thing to know that corners are wide and to practice them in a vacant parking lot so that's what I'll do!
