New Guy in Miami
Hi everyone,
We bought a basket case 1991 Silver Eagle 28 ft which turned out to be a 30 ft. it is actually 32 ft bumper to bumper and had it towed home a few months ago.
It had extensive water damage and sat unused for over 4 years with a ventline round power vent in the bathroom ceiling open, which caused all the damage
I think I am driving everyone nuts with all my questions on the Vintage site.
I am slowly getting it repaired
I am a very handy mechanical guy, retired, boat mechanic, airplane mechanic and ex Charter Pilot, My wife is an accountant and she gave me a strict 2500.00 repair budget to work with. She just increased it by 500 for stuff she wants in the bathroom. Since we are doing almost all the work ourselves we are sure we can stay within the budget, most of the cost is for parts and materials. We did give the Vanity to a cabinet shop as a guide for new improved modern custom vanity. It was so bad it almost fell apart as we removed it. this weekend we are going to start building the new dinette half that was rotted away by the leak, watch for upholstery questions soon.

Good luck on your rebuild from Hollywood. Sounds like you have the background and experience to make it happen.

Good luck on the renovations!
By the way if you haven't camped at Broward County Parks they are some of our favorite in the Miami area and I highly recommend them....lots of green and space. We stayed at Markham last winter and loved it.
