New guy to the forum
We are new full timers, Feb of this year we made the jump, we bought a 38 foot triple slide fifth wheel toy hauler in Aug of last year, I towed this monster back from South Dakota with a first Gen Dodge Diesel SRW one ton dodge with 194K on the ticker, boy what a wake up that was on just how big and heavy it was (14,000 empty ) at this point in our plans to become full timers we knew we needed something bigger and started to look at MDT, after looking at a lot of Freightliners on the net, and test driving 2 extended cab trucks both with over 200K on them we knew we had to have a 4 door, and 1 came up on ebay 3 hours from us, it had 186K and a CAT factory refurbished motor with 2K on the motor, short story on this is cash is king, we called the owners and made a deal and he closed the auction with us as the winners, we just made our first trip with this new combo last month from Seattle to south of Flagstaff, boy what a difference it made, and the old Dodge that 1 trip killed it, thanks for reading, Lyman & Kelly
