New in just about every regard

Hello, all. I just wanted to quickly post to introduce myself to your community. My wife and I recently purchased a 2016 Dutchmen Aspen Trail2780RLS. We'd been on the fence for several years about purchasing an RV, but made the decision to take the plunge when we ran across a deal that was simply too get to let get away. So now, I spend countless hours behind a keyboard in an attempt to learn all that I can about every facet of the ownership experience. Perhaps I'm just trying not to look "new" when we make our first trip! Eh.....whatever, huh?

Anyhow, I like to have fun, joke around, be mildly sarcastic, and I find myself to be quite self-deprecating. I basically try not to take things too seriously when it isn't necessary. I look forward to getting to know many of you around here. But at a quarter million and counting, that's a lot of names to remember. Let's get started, shall we?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on then new rig.

You are joining a good group of folks here with good info to share. The learning curve is long but thankfully only steep in the beginning.

Good luck and enjoy the adventure!

Welcome and congrats on the RV. Smart of you to do some research before the maiden voyage. But, all of us make mistakes. Just laugh at them, learn from them, and carry on.

It always seems hard the first time. After that its a piece of cake make up a check list for set up and break down. That way you'll feel like a pro. I still use mine after 12 yrs. Might be my defense against old age.
