New in Katy, TX

I shouldn't really say new.. Pop-Up camping for 5 years (every other week), and tent camping 10+ years before that. I decided to upgrade my POP-UP last week and bought a Winnebago . It's a Class C, 30' 2006 Minnie Winnie.. so far I love it, although I got held hostage at the Gas pump (cc company thought I was a fraud) and the Fridge Door broke off it's hinges (my fault, wasn't fully closed when driving) already..

I am a member of SETPUCC (South East Pop-Up Camper Club), and frequent 4x4 offroad parks. I have two boys, 11 & 7 and a little wife who loves to cook. I came here trying to soak up some knowledge from other members .

Welcome to iTV2. Lots of the Texas Boomers from the North and west sides of Houston. We are in Cypress.

ALL of them! Be sure to get the Annual Texas State Park pass. Even better is the Senior one if you qualify. Even if you only visit a few, it pays for itself. We like the Stephen F. Austin and Brazos Bend State Parks. Where do you go locally?

Us Diesel Pushers have the same problem at some of the pumps, so don't fret. We do have on advantage with PFJ's Advantage program. You may want to look into that. I think it works a the gas pumps also. Some one that knows more can chime in.

I'm happy that the credit card company does its checking. I have had phone calls just after pumping a couple hundred dollars of fuel asking me to "push 1 if you just made this purchase." I don't mind. Should someone else have used the cc without my knowledge I'd push a different button and the wheels of justice would start turning.

Check out the "Texas Boomers" section of the site.

Welcome fellow Texan - we're in TC down by Galv.

I don't know what the DP guys deal with, but its kind of different at each location....Loves Travel Centers I have never had a limit on my debit card purchase, but the Quickway fuel centers have a 75.00 cap, even though its a debit card....I filled up at a Shell once in northern Texas and it had a 100.00 limit. Its not that big of a deal, but it is annoying to have to hang up the pump and re-authorize it 2 or 3 times....
