New(ish) Full-Timer - New to Forum

Hello,
My wife and I began our full-time RV journey on April 1, 2021. We now have a 2014 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 36LA, and up until a recent lightning strike, we've loved it! Of course, there will always be issues here and there to be tackled, probably even more so now. I'll be around looking for assistance, and I'll be happy to help others whenever I can.

Welcome to IRV2!

If you don't already have a surge guard/EMS, look into installing one. The built in surge protection of the transfer switch (if any) will not protect. I'm a firm believed in one as we had close lightning strike traveling with our friends. They had some electrical damage and we had none with our Progressive Industries EMS.

And now you have a stroy to tell around the cam fire!

Fill that RV with memories. Had some bad days but now they just part of the adventure.

We had a Progressive Industries surge protector at the pedestal. It didn't even blink. Lightning does weird things...
We've since moved to a Watchdog so we can monitor usage, just because.
