New Kountry Aire (older) here

I'm Dave and my lovely wife is Patricia. We are retired and about to sell our home in CA and journey eastward til we hit TN. We believe that's where we'll put down some new roots. In the meantime we'll be full-timing up down and around the country trying to visit relatives and places we've not been to for awhile. Years ago we started with a camper on a pickup, had C Robinhood and a C Coachmen. In days I will be getting a 1998 Kountry Aire 38' gas MH that my sister-in-law cannot use any longer. I know my late brother-in-law had some work done on it but he wasn't much of a record keeper...so I'll be discovering things one by one soon, I'm sure.

I am very happy I found this owners community and I have already seen many areas where I'll be digging deeper.

Hi Dave and Patricia,

Welcome to the Forum! You came to the right place to learn what you need to know. Go to the search option at the top right of the page and enter "RV Fixes for Newbies and Oldies". There is some info there that might help you with being new at this.

Try an app called RVParky.com for CG (campground) info and Walmart info for staying overnight while traveling. Yes, you can stay overnight at a lot of them and your rig can handle that. Otherwise you can go to a CG each night while traveling. Being retired, you can stop for a night or two and enjoy yourself. Take your time.

Many places cheaper than CA to live as I think you have figured out. Mostly just enjoy yourself and have a great time seeing this beautiful country of ours.
