Hello and thank you for allowing us to be members of this group. I am a retired police officer with the NYPD (ret 8 years) and my wife Rose is a semi retired professional educator trainer. We purchased our first new to us MH back on May 17th, (2004 Bounder 35R with only 6300 miles!) and went on the road the following day for 37 days totaling over 6200 miles. (Yes we did actually double the miles on the rig) We traveled from Fair Play SC to the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Sturgis and Deadwood then to Yellowstone (Cody Wy.) and The Grand Tetons . From there we went to Bryce Canyon, Red Rock Canyon and Zion National Park, Salt Lake City then a few days in Vegas to visit friends. From there we went to the Grand Canyon (stayed in Williams Az and took the scenic train to the canyon), Meteor Crater and the Petrified Forest. From there we went to Roswell NM to see the Aliens then Carlsbad Caverns. After that we were off to Houston Tx where I took a ride on a vintage World War II B-17 Bomber! The ride of a lifetime (thanks Rose for buying that ticket as a xmas present!) Next stop was Memphis Tn and Graceland. From there our last stop was Nashville TN. We drove and saw so much in 37 days and we are looking forward to the next trip in the beginning of August. This time we heading to NYC to grab the grand kids but as of right now, no destination in mind. Perhaps western Pa, then Ohio, then south to KY and the Mammoth Caves then off to Dollywood and let the kids run wild.

Welcome Gaget and thank you for your service to the community. You sure were ready when you got your rig! Hope to do the same myself here shortly. Still counting the days until I retire though. Good luck!
