Hello,
I am hoping for my 'new to me' 5th wheel RV soon!

I plan to camp full time and have learned so much so far, and spent my 2 cents worth into some of the threads already...

I haven't a lot to say really except I will be doing my travelling with my dogs and
cat, so I am sure I will be asking some basic' what's that' questions
and ask you bear with me ... I am trying to find answers mostly by reading all the posts I can as there is such a wealth of information out there.

Bless you all and may all your travels be trouble free.

Thank you all for your 'sharing'

and now I wait....

Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the bunch here!

Hope you find the right 5th wheel for your needs! We pulled a 5er for 10 years before getting the MH last year. We loved our 5er!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Well it is a Security trailer, penthouse model, older but in great shape (89)

no slides 28' and has heated basement, double windows and solar panels.

It comes with the tow vehicle, Sierra 2500 with 144,000 KMs on it and is in fabulous shape, (the truck is newer!)

It is a private sale and a deposit made until I can leave the sticks and bricks.

|I once had a towable Security and they are now out of business, made them too good.... !
the original compaany was from New Battleford Saskatchewan and later they were bought out by Fleetwood but I am assuming the name didn't go with because they were not made after that.

That is all I know, other than it is an aluminum unit and owner says it is an easier pull with the GMC than it was with the Ford 3/4 ton.
his only reason for selling is his wife's illness.
I got a good deal believe you me and couldn't really pass on it.
If anyone has more info on this trailer I would be glad to hear from you as I can't find anything before 1990 ....

BTW all receipts from work done for the truck were made available to me and I had a good look at the engine, extra suspension , coated bed, hitch etc.

If I should have got more info please let me know, I found my question list online and from reading your posts but I think I covered all the bases.
Thank you for all your unknowing help!

Thank you!

Thanks to all of you who have been so warm with your welcomes, perhaps some day we shall meet and greet like new friends do!

Bless you all, I have learned so much already and I see there is a wonderful support system in place here,

May you all have many trouble free miles ahead and

May the wind be at your back,
May the road rise up to meet you ....(not too steeply)
And may God always hold you in the palm of His hand...

(an old Irish Blessing )

Congrats on the soon to be new lifestyle. Keep us posted how things go, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Good luck.
