Am i the only class B owner here? Surly not.
I just bought a Winnebago 2014 24ft Era.
I spent over 30 wonderful yrs in alaska.
All over AK but finally settling in Homer.
The end of the road, literally.
And no it is not that cold in Homer and no it is never dark all the time. And yes there are many things to do beside drinking. Yes i know the owners, mostly Andy's wife of "The Time Bandit, but that was before the deadliest catch was even on.
Aside from Jewel and Tom Bodett they are the only famous ppl. Ive ever known & I admit it feels pretty cool.
Thought id get my one and only bragging right out of the way.
Obviously i can be lame but honest and have no problem laughing at myself.
Live in katy tx now.
Hate it.
Want ppl in the babyboomer era to share time w/.
Im very open minded, rarely judge harshly unless you hurt others on purpose (especially animals!).
I make great cats! Really great cats!
Right now I have none and still cry from time to time over the loss of my last.
I do have a 4 lb. rat... Ahhh, i meant dog.
2 yr old Maltese who i got because i needed a service dog after i left alaska and did not make any friends here in Katy. She does not stink or shed. And if she barks she gets a "puppy timeout" unless of course she barks out of need.
Ive taught her to sneeze instead of bark as i want communication with her.
Only complaint is it seems weird she doesn't purr!
She seems to like it when we go rv'ing.
The era is the perfect size for her 4 lbs and my 130 lbs tho being 5'8 i sleep caddie-corner.
Yes ive had nothing but problems buying my rv but did not want to start off bitching. Oh is that a bad word?

Nice meeting you all.
Looking forward to chatting with other ppl that live or spend a great deal of time in their class B.

Welcome! Glad you climbed onboard after all the years in the great Alaska outdoors. Sounds like you have lots of adventures already accomplished and ready for more.

Welcome aboard, Alaska to Texas is definite culture shock. We went from montana to oregon to missouri to arkansas and each place has its pluses and minuses. Hope you find some boomers to hang out with.
