We are getting back into RVing after some years off. Were full time for five years. Purchased 2005 Dolphin and would like to review some tips on maintenance.:

Welcome, be sure to check out the National forum! Click on the "Owners Forums" tab near the top of the page, then click on the "National" tab. Lots of info there for your Dolphin, including archived literature.
We have a 2005 Dolphin, too. Ours is the 5320 model, which is the short 33' moho with the 8.1 workhorse engine along with the allison tranny. Have had her for just over 10 years, still love it.
Let us all know what maintenance info you need, somebody will have an answer or two. . .
Again, welcome to the site!

Thanks for the response. Our new purchase is a 5342 and we love the layout, etc. Drove it back to Kansas from California and it went well. Had a problem with the Level Jacks - worked fine but insisted in sending the alarm that the Jacks were down when they weren"t. I was told this is a chronic problem with Dolphin because the resevoir is too small. I will be checking the fluid level. Another minor problem was a frustrating air lock in the of the gas fillup. I was able to fill only after setting it at the lowest/slowest level. Again, I will check the line for blockages.
I have been impressed with how well the engine handles the demands of a cross country drive.

Hi, Dave.
Glad you got home and are ready to go again. Sounds like you are familiar with the jacks and the reservoir, my only advice is to pour as much fluid into the tank as possible, the float is typically positioned too close to the top and will sound the alarm once a few drops are missing.
As for the gas tank, I usually raise the back end with the jacks to assist gravity at the gas station. There are many threads for your reading pleasure, simply use the search engine at the top of the page. Others have had success with changing the vent tubes location that runs along the fill tube, too. I have not had to mess with that.
Again, welcome to the forum! Holler if any of us can help, lots of kind, smart folks around this place. Hope to meet you folks some day down the road.
Bruce
