Hi. My name is dale. I live in tyler, tx. Have a 88' itasca sunflyer with the chevy 454. Only 22,000 original miles. Was on a lot at lake fork for many years. Only drove it into town in the summer. So - needs lots of TLC from sitting. The smog pump on the passenger side under the alt is starting to complain so I'm wondering if the GM 10129569 smog pump delete bracket with pulley will fit this motor. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dale,
I'd guess that would not fit that engine. It's made for 2013 to present small block V-8's that are the serpentine belt design. I'm assuming that the engine in your coach is V-belt driven.

Well maybe. I found this blurb on the Pace Performance site:

"Bracket and pulley takes the place of smog (A.I.R.) pump on the above serpentine kits. Also fits the passenger side serpentine bracket from 1988-1993 Caprice,1988-1992 Camaro,Firebird & 1991-1993 Chevy Full size trucks with 454."

Does your motorhome have the serpentine belt? If so, it will probably work Dale.

Welcome to the forum.

You are joining a good group of folks here with good info to share. Read the various threads here, including the vintage RV one for rigs 20+ years of age, and ask questions as they come up.

Enjoy the adventure.

GM smog pump delete bracket

The 454 has two air pumps. The primary that feeds air to the exhaust manifold and a secondary "smog" pump mounted passenger side under the alt. The primary pump had a v belt. The smog pump has the serpentine. It will be here tomorrow and I'll find out.

Where did you find a 88 foot long motor home?
