Hi everyone. Just signed on as a new member after finding this great site. My wife and I just retired after 32 years at the same company in Albany Oregon. We have been looking forward to retirement and full timing for about 10 years and have planned accordingly. We also just sold our house after two weeks on the market, so our adventures started quickly. Over the years, we have had trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes. When we retired in Sept. we had a 36 ft Carriage XTRM 5 that we thought was ideal. I was a little bored one day while in Las Vegas in November and went to a rv dealer and found a beautiful 2006 Monaco Diplomat which I owned two hours later. We love it and I have no affiliation to them, but I have never dealt with a car or rv dealer like Johnnie Walker Rv in Las Vegas. They were absolutely the greatest to do business with. Due to a family wedding in North Dakota in Feb. we will stay in the NW this year until the end of the summer and then our plans are to head for Maine and work our way down the east coast and the southern coast. Then to Arizona for the winter. We are thinking of Texas for a home state as there is no sense in paying income taxes here in Oregon. That's about it. Happy New Year to everybody and enjoy your travels. We hope we will.

Airstream9161..
I would like to officially welcome you to iRV2 ...and hopefully the "Monaco Owners Forum"! I am agree with you about finding this great site! I feel this has the friendliest & most knowledgable folks on the web!
I hope you venture down to the "Monaco Owners Forum" and join in with what I think is the "best-funniest" Owners forum on iRV2! We have tons of fun there...and all you need to do is ask for some "Karma" and we will sprinkle some "Pixie Dust" on your signature name! (Don't be afraid of the "I-5 Troll" in Eugene area.... she is harmless! )

Again.. Congrats...and please visit & post often!
