Hi all! Am getting ready to buy my first travel trailer and after reading lots of threads here, am ready to post my own looking for advice.


This will be my first travel trailer as well as my first tow vehicle- I am planning to buy both at the same time, and so will be seeking advice for both. I'll be moving cross-country for a job soon and had originally planned to get a TT when I arrived there, but have decided to move up the purchase so I can use it for the move and take my time getting out there, turn it into a little vacation, and also have a place to stay while I apartment-hunt in my new city.



Since I'm new to towing, am planning to start on the smaller/lighter side. I've looked at T@B, mini max, and the smaller Sol trailers (eclipse and dawn) and favorite so far is Eclipse. As far as tow vehicles go, I'd rather have an SUV than a truck, but am open to both.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck on the search. Do watch you weights and the finish work on the trailer. Sorry I can't really help with the specifics as we roll in a motor home.

You are joining a good group of folks here with good info to share. Read the various threads here and ask questions as they come up or add info if you can.
