Hello fellow RVers!
We are thrilled to be a part of this community at long last! We finally bought (after years of thinking and dreaming) a New to Us 2005 Southwind and we are enjoying the idea of future traveling adventures. We have never owned an RV before so it is ALL a bit overwhelming to learn how to use this monster without blowing it-or us, up!
My husband is in charge of ALL of it (poor guy!)- you know, just the usual maintenance, figuring out how to use the AC, propane, stove, TV/antennae, tires, motor, generator, batteries....as well as at least a million other items while I am trying to figure out just what we need to put inside.I feel a bit useless actually but we are taking our time as we slowly learn the ins and outs of basic usage and maintenance while it sits in our driveway. We plan to take it out for its maiden adventure in a few weeks.
We would have invited friends to join us on our first trip but everyone we know with RVs or campers has already left on there own trips so we are going to be flying solo.
My first question: Is there a LIST out there that can help my husband organise preparation before and after we do a trip, as well as things to do when we have out first overnight stop? He will modify and add to that list Im sure, but it would help him to have something to start with since there are so many things to check.
Thank you!
