Hi folks. My wife and I just bought out first RV. It’s an ‘89 Fleetwood Southwind that’s been very well treated. Being newbies, we decided to dip our toes rather than dive right in with a major investment. Just wondering if anyone is familiar with this model? Ours has the Chevy chassis and 454 FI.

Welcome to IRV2 .. do you have all the maintenance records ? So there are 2 parts to rv.. the part it rides on, chassis.. 2 nd part top, the rv.. the coach maker. start reading in chassis section.. tip read last pg forward.. also get very familiar with the auto park brake system.. it needs very close regular maintenance... I can't tell you how important it is.. then hit appliance section.. there you find info on generator.. and each appliance.. then hit the section for maker of top rv.. the coach.. read last forward.. there is a exception to the tip.. the very first pg in each section has very important information and tips and manuals... do you have all the tools and experience to do the work yourself ? Or are you planning to have shop do it? Good luck let us know what you did and maybe better members then me will help you
