New member check-in

Hi all, I joined back in 2018, but just now introducing myself. Bought a 2000 Fleetwood Southwind Storm (fixer upper) 3 years back. We pull a 24' enclosed trailer with the toys. We primarily travel to the Glamis Sand Dunes (Imperial Sand Dunes Recreational Area) in SE California. The family enjoys off-roading, which typically consists of a quad (my son), Polaris RZR XP4 1000 (my daughter), and a (new to us) sand rail (wife and I).
My wife and our two kids (age 15 - boy/girl twins) travel from home (Phoenix, AZ) to Glamis, CA as often as possible (during the season Oct - Apr), often 10-12 trips. We also camp in the national forests near Flagstaff or near Payson. We've racked up 16k points (I mean.. miles) so far on the Southwind. I view my odometer as my scoreboard, the more miles I travel, the more I'm winning (at life) I know the kids will only be young once, so I'm taking every opportunity to get out camping and make those memories!

Lots of projects completed and even more yet to do. My current (in-progress) projects include: removing and sealing both (leaky) waste tanks, replacing all water lines (cpvc) with PEX, rerouting water pipes ABOVE waste tanks so they're more accessible, securing waste tanks (were free floating when I removed ), removing all wallpaper (DW) for eventual paint, water heater flush & tune up, and couch removal. Upcoming projects include new captains chair, install additional rear anti-sway bar, couch replacement (leather), adding a new window to an existing wall), and adding black out pull shades.

I have plenty to do and plenty to learn. I look forward to hearing from the groups experiences and sharing mine too.

Until next time,
