Talking New Member First RV

Hello All!! My wife and I are what I refer to as Recovering People and were homeless due to our own actions for a period of a year and lived in a tent during that period. In that time we got it together and just purchased a 1976 Winnebago Itasca C25C (best I can tell based on Winnebago website brochures) and It needs a bit of work. I am a fine furniture maker by trade so I don't think I'll have a problem with the wood resto but soon look forward to the wealth of knowledge here on evey single other part of this RV! I'm not sure how this forum works completely so please forgive my wife and i if we post things in the wrong area. Pics and Questions soon, again thanks and happy Fall!!!

Welcome to the Forum! Good place to come for info. Go to "Vintage RV's" when you post your pictures of your rig and start a thread there. People will come on with advice and or comments. There are a lot of people there who have older rigs and have done from small to complete redo's.

Sometimes you can get an old or damaged trailer and use the parts off it called a donor trailer. Keep this in mind if your rebuild is a major job. You can reuse the A/C's, fridges, heaters, roof vents, anything.

Be very careful about your tires. Aged tires can be very dangerous. Roof leaks are another issue that can really damage your rig.

YouTube is also a great source for remodeling your RV. The search engine here at the top right of the page is a good place to ask a specific question.

Good luck with the route you are taking. These things can be a blast.

Not sure if you are working but check out for jobs if you have a need. Amazon hires people from September to December 23rd for $15. an hour. They have a camp ground there for people who live in rigs. The benefit is both parties know it is temporary and no issues with that. They also pay a $1. per bonus if you stay until Dec 23rd. You can earn enough for gas and camping costs in that timeframe. Beet harvests out in CA. There are jobs everywhere in the U.S.
