New Member Fort Worth, TX

Hi I'm Chuck and my beautiful bride is Mandy.

We are both from Missouri but have lived in the Dallas / Fort Worth area for the past 22 years.

Many years ago we had a pickup camper but then the kids came.

Seven years ago as the kids were finishing college and moving away, we bought a travel trailer.

This year we traded that trailer for a new 5th wheel.

As I type this it is sitting outside waiting for me to load it up for our first weekend trip.

Welcome! I'd take it to the Vineyards in Grapevine. That place is great.

Just stayed there last Thur - Monday. A little pricey but ya pay for convenience and will save on fuel. We were in site 85 - right on the water. It was windy and cold so a little more interior would have been better - but it's a perfect site for good weather.

Nice deck - picnic table - fire ring - grill. Nobody on either side - it is on a peninsula. Great place.

We've been there a few times with the old TT.

The first time we sent my ex-son-in-law laughed at us for "camping in the city," but when he saw the place he changed his tune.

We would have gone this weekend but it was sold out due to Grapevine Main Street Days.

We have reservations in 4 weeks.

I agree it's a little pricey but we like it and on weekends when we both have to work Friday it's nice to have a short drive.

We'd love to join you, but we're going to be in Branson the week of the fourth.

It's our 40th anniversary and we honeymooned on Tablerock Lake.
