Just noticed this check in spot, so here I am. I have lurked reading posts for probably 5 years off and on and finally decided to join in.
We bought our Leisure Travel Van in 2005 and have enjoyed two longer trips and many shorter trips, though it gets a bit crowded even for two on longer trips. Sure gets good fuel economy though.

Our bus (76 GMC 4905, with veg oil conversion) we bought a year or so later and have worked on it off and on since (repairing what previous owner neglected to tell us about) and took a long (about 6000 miles) trip over 3 months in summer /fall of 2008. Took disabled son and two cats and visted family and friends as far east as Missouri. Never able to do that again due to husbands not tolerating driving /sitting for long periods even in our air ride type truckers seats. Thinking of selling the bus and getting a Palazzo, so I can drive too. I just was not comfortable driving the bus, though I did get a lesson and drive a little.
We are both Navy and met in Morocco , I was his Nurse!
Look forward to participation.

Welcome Velda & Mel. Enjoy your motorhome. Try shorter driving days. We have to keep ours down to usually 200 or miles (4 hours driving time) because of the the wife's health and travel tolerance. The cat's getting old (15) also and doesn't like longer travel days either. Most days we get underway around 9 or 10 and stop by 2 or 3 with an hour stop for lunch. They way everybody gets to move around and it breaks the trip up into relatively short segments.
