Hello,

Just joined the forum after being a long-time poster over at Escapees (2004). I have known about iRV2 for awhile but have never spent any time here. It was because my wife and I have recently become interested in Newmar and Entegra motorhomes that I found my way to this website...not certain why I didn't years ago; I really like what I see!!!

A little history...I am ex-Navy and retired Coast Guard (2008) with 32 years active service. I still work for the USCG as a civilian and hope to retire in 2018-2019 and go full-timing.

We are not new to RVing having owned a Coleman tent trailer in 1985, a Fleetwood 5th wheel in 1989 and then a Trailmanor travel trailer in 2000. We have not owned an RV for sometime now but have been discussing full-timing since we started posting on Escapees in 2004.

Since 2004, our plan has been to go full-timing in a fifth wheel (back then we wanted either a Teton or a Travel Supreme...now interested in a New Horizons or Continental) and to pull it with a Volvo HDT. This has been our dream and we have thought of little else. That said, several months ago and for no apparent reason we started getting very interested in a Class A and just this weekend went and looked at a Newmar Dutch Star and a Mountain Aire. We have also been researching non-stop on the web for information on Entegras.

So, slowly it seems like the tide has shifted and we are starting to think that maybe a Class A is the way to go but we are still keeping our options open. At any rate, I'm certain I will be on both the Newmar and Entegra forums asking questions and absorbing all of the knowledge that is already there as well as visiting all the other sites of interest.
