Red face New Member from NW

Hi all,
My husband and I currently live in Ellensburg, WA. Moved here from Snohomish,WA 5 years ago. Now looking to purchase a 5th wheel and live in it six months of the year in Arlington, WA on my daughters property and hopefully head south for some of the winter as well.
Looking at used Travel Supremes, Montana, Excels and not sure what else yet. Trying to get into this as "cost effective" as possible and still get a good unit. Any ideas are appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! You've sure come to the right place. I'm a motorhome kind of guy so can't help with questions about a fiver but we have many experts here that I'm sure will chime in soon.

Welcome to the forum. We just gave up 12+ years of GREAT Full Time RVin and the last 3 were in our 40 ft Travel Supreme 4 slide which we special ordered while TS was still in business. We can say that it is the 'Ultimate'. The workmanship is outstanding. Ours was loaded. Even had a sunken rear living room. While they are no longer in business, you can find really good deals on used ones. We were really sad to see ours go, but wife said 'enough is enough' and wanted a real size kitchen and bath. Wish you well in your search.

fifth wheel

It's been a long time since Collins built a fifth wheel but it is very well built and should be very "cost effective" at this time. Ours was an 89 rear kitchen which we lived in for a year and towed to Alaska. We often wonder why we sold it.
Have fun!

Question King of the Road or Alfa

Hi all,
Thanks for the welcome. Still trying to find that "perfect" 5th wheel. Perfect because our budget is small and our desires are large.

Now looking at a King of the Road but it looks like it weighs around 18,000 Lbs so not sure this will work for us.

And an Alfa Ideal. Any feedback on these two?
thanks so much,
