New member from Saskatchewan, Canada

My wife and I have just completed the purchase of 2016 Rockwood 2304 DS. We are new to rving as many people are in these times. I feel we were fortunate to find this unit as it was cared for and lightly used.It was also regularly serviced at dealer we purchased from. We had been resigned to the fact that we would need to purchase new or order a unit as used TT were difficult to find in size and floorplan we liked. That being said would welcome any feedback from people who own same model and your experiences and advice. We also purchased 2019 Ford F150 3.5 ecoboost and Max trailer tow package as tow vehicle. We are looking forward to using it next spring as it has been winterized and stored for winter. We are also a little apprehensive after you read all the negative experiences that people have posted on internet in regards to owning an RV. That being said I think if your diligent in upkeep and expect to do some work it should be a positive experience. Looking forward to reading all the information on this site over the winter. tjvnSask

Welcome, and I would like to thank all of folks from Saskatchewan for the greatest export to Detroit from Saskatoon, Gordie Howe! As to your rig, maintenance is your best friend and neglect is fatal. There's plenty of information here and elsewhere as to the maintenance that needs to happen. Educate yourself and make it a labor of love. Good luck.

Glad you joined us. Lots of helpful folks here.

We are RVing in Cape Breton at present. Drove up this morning and at Beddeck we visited the Alexandra Graham Bell museum. Well worth the visit.
Tomorrow we drive the Cabot Trail.
Found a great campground here. Cabot Trail Campground. One of the nicest ones we have stayed at.

Best of luck in your new venture.

Hi

We also live in Saskatchewan, and have just brought a used TT. We brought a 2011 Evergreen 29 FK. We are also new to RVing, we did own a trailer for a while on a permanent site. But want to see more of Canada and America, ( hopefully in the future). We are searching all the RV stores, and have become YouTube junkies watching all the different RV shows. I am shocked at what you need to be comfortable, but it’s good fun. We have winterized the trailer, so we now have all winter to buy what we need, and plan out travels for next year. We live in Warman, SK. You never know, our travels may cross one day.

Hey, welcome aboard and to the wonderful RV lifestyle.

We started camping 5 years ago and our first unit was a 2304.....it was a great unit and we loved it. You will have no issues towing that with the F150.

Hope you get a chance to get using it as soon as the snow melts!!

Nice to read your post. Sounds like we are are doing the same thing for the winter. I have also been looking at the wealth of information on internet. Can be a bit overwhelming at times. We bought our unit in Saskatoon just last week. We will also be exploring Saskatchewan and the provinces and states(when possible) close to us starting next spring.

Welcome to the board. We were married in Saskatchewan, a little radar base called Dana, long time ago.

Enjoy the forum and stay safe and healthy.

Welcome to the group. Lots of great info and people here.

We spend the summer just north of Prince Albert and in a few weeks off to Calgary for a week then BC for the winter this year.
