Hi to All, Jim [aka: triker guy] I looked for 2yrs.to find a class C diesel. Finally found a 1999 Itasca Spirit with a 7.3 power stroke with 20-K on it. Lots of lessons learned, the hard way. It sure is great to have a place to turn to when I don't have a clue. I hitch-hiked this great country in 66 after I got out of the service for a tad over 8 months, then over the years I motorcycled the country cept Alaska, now its time for this ole Vet to do as much as I can while I can. Still trying to get ready to get the heck out of this state and meet up with the nicest folks I have ever met.And that my new Friends is YOU-ALL, Campers. It doesn't make any difference what your rig my be, everyone is willing to share their knowledge or give a helping hand. Thank you in advance for those I have yet to meet.

Hello,
We are contemplating the purchase of a 35' Vista, 2013. My only problem is driving something that long. Right now I tow a Forest River Hybrid that is 23' long while my DH does the navigating. I have driven 24' Class C in Alaska only, so not much traffic there to worry about. Gas stations on the road were easy to get in and out.

What do I need to look for when I need to stop for gas, etc. Right now I would like to go out a couple of times without towing a car. I realize stopping for supplies might require looking for Wal-Marts and the like where I can park away from the store. I suppose at gas stations I need to get the end spots.

I drove the unit but only out of a parking lot and down the road a little. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We live in southeast Wisconsin and would like to head south in January or February, weather permitting.
