New Member from Virginia
Ray and Doris from Salem, Va. Love camping and traveling and wife retiring 2/2013. Planning a trip from Virginia out west via Route 66. When is best time of year to travel this route? We have 2005 Cross Country Country Coach diesel pusher. Purchased from a car dealer and have no manuals, so will have lots of questions. First question is where is valve to turn heat on in the dash? Took trip Thanksgiving and nearly froze going down the road. Looking forward to meeting new members! D

Welcome!
Welcome, neighbor! I live in Craig County, not far from you.
I travelled to New Mexico in my car, 2010. I Left here on May 8th. Weather was perfect, scenery awesome. I spent 2 weeks just driving, stopping to look at so many things, eating, and shooting pictures. I loved it.

Hi Ray & Doris! Welcome to IRV2! We're really glad you decided to join us! I can't help with your question but I would suggest you post all questions over in the appropriate areas of the forum for better results. Not too many folks hang out here in the Welcome area. You can visit the Owners Forum and see if your coach is listed there, and also the Class A section under "RV Forums". There's lots of folks there who will be glad to help in any way they can! Hope you had a great Christmas! Good luck, happy trails, and may God bless and keep you through the coming year!
