'15 Dutch Star 4369 Help-Open Hood

I have inherited a 2015 Newmar Dutch Star 4369 and need to know how to open the hood. Any suggestions?

Glad to have you here in the Newmar family. On my Dutch Star the hood release was on the left side of the drivers seat under the dash. I'm assuming you mean the front hood and not the engine hood.

On my 2015 Dutch Star you need to pull the handle located in the most forward Exterior bay, driver side.

Open the bay door under the driver's window, in the upper right corner of the bay, as you face it, is a black "T" handle an inch or so in. Some have missed it and looked past it.

Mine is the same position as Dutch Star Don. But if you are sloping upwards it will lock by the time you go around to pull it up. You will need someone to pull the hood up once you have pulled the handle in the bay under the driver side compartment.

You can have the spring adjusted to make the latch work with only one person. They did that for me at Camp Newmar last week. Before that I used a 2" spacer to place inside the black handle latch to keep it open.
