My husband and I just bought a 1996 Thor Manor. Actually we have had it a week. We are both excited and can't wait to take it out. But first things first, we are having it checked out and serviced before we go on our first adventure....We have started a travel wish list of places we want to go to.....Please feel free to give us some first timers advice....

The main thing is just to go. Don't be so focused on your list that you pass up other incredible places that abound everywhere. Hope you have a blast!

Good luck !
Don't buy everything you think you might need the first week !

After your first night in your driveway
you might Consider Mill creek in Canton
and Lake Tawakoni as shake down cruises....

both nice places....

then you can make a list of things you need...

Welcome, we're Texas rv'rs, At 3.50 a gal it costs too much to get out of the state.
Our favorite destination is Isla Blanca park on South Padre. Beautiful ocean/beach view for $35 a night. Most of the Texas state parks are great also.
Happy Trails

Thanks everyone for your responses. We dropped off the RV for servicing today and are looking forward to our adventures. Anyone have any recommendations on where to go or stay near Fort Worth, Texas?

By all means, check out the Vineyards on Lake Grapevine. We bought our MH from Professional Sales in nearby Colleyville and still like to work an overnight at The Vineyards. Read about it hear: www.vineyardscampground.com/

Enjoy.
