New Member Intro
Hello to All!
Just joined because I was impressed with the scope of the Site and the info it contains.
I am 65 and will be looking to accquire a used TT in the next 9-to-12 months and want to start my research now. My goal is to have a TT big enough for full timing for a couple of years and touring west of the Mississippi. My tow vehicle is a 1997 E-350 cargo van w/ 7.3 and 3.55 rear. Right now, a Hensley Arrow or Pro Pride Hitch is the first item on the List.
My current un-informed, newbie status wants something in the 33 to 36 foot range but this is a guess based on what I "think I want/need" - now. I am sure this site will educate me to what I realy require.
I am a gearhead with technical orientation and figure I will be modifying whatever I get to fit my needs; small office with internet and good insulation for cold weather ops. Only has to sleep one or two. Quality in materials and construction are my beginning requirements. If anyone can point me to a good place to begin researching, I would appreciate it.
Thanks for the all your feed back,
Steve

Hi Steve...welcome to the forum. Your right there is a lot of knowledgeable folks here. I would only suggest that you make a must have list and nice to have list and with a budget in mind start looking at the internet RV sites. Begin with - What does my tow vehicle let me pull .....from there you can determine the weight of the rig your lookin for...Its a kind of elimination process....Good Luck

Thanks for the Welcome Aboard's!
My Post was an Intro and I am beginning research.
Fred1609 - agree with your suggestions. Before I start looking I need to answer my basics regarding construction.
My van is limited to Max 10k trailer. A 3.55 rear = 16k GCWR and 4.10 = 20k GCWR. My curb wt is 8k, so it looks like a 3.55 means I can tow 8k. Less than I thought so a 4.10 may be required.
Thanks again for the warm welcome,
Steve
