New member intro and questions

Hi all. I am a new member to this site. We have a 34' Monoco Mckenzie fifthwheel, 2003 model. We are kind of novices yet we have used it for
long trips. We plan on doing alot of dry docking this winter and are wondering if anyone could recommend a solar panel system to keep our
batteries charged. Also would you recommend an inverter? Anyone have any ideas?

Slorun, Welcome to the forum. Have you looked at Camping World for solar chargers?

I am not familiar with your fifthwheel, but I would think you have an inverter/charger.
I assume you want to just add solar and not do a total system upgrade. One of the nice things about solar is the system can be upgraded very easily as depending on needs.
A general consensus in sizing the panel array is 100 watts of solar for each 100 amp hours of storage capacity.
There are not many solar dealers that have experience with setting up an rv system. two that I am aware of are; www.amsolar.com and www.windsun.com These two have the most experience that I am aware of.
You will probably be getting quite a few responses and everyons has different needs and systems.

Hi and welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad to have you join us! I don't do any boondocking so can't really help much on this. Good luck & God bless!
