Hello,

My name is Lars and I just joined the iRV2 forum. My wife and I are planning to purchase a travel trailer in the near future since we now are empty nesters. We enjoy training our German Shepherd in Schutzhund, go on hikes, and like to follow NHL hockey (go AVS!)

We live near the mountains in Colorado and we are planning to do some trips within our state, to begin with.

Later on, our dream is to drive SR1 in CA and continue to Alaska as well as go coast to coast on the Canadian side.

We have never had an RV so the main focus for us is to educate ourselves on maintenance and care for a travel trailer.

We are looking at a 4 season trailer and the choices and recommendations that keep coming up (within our budget) are Lance, Outdoors Mfg, and Arctic fox.

We really like the Timberridge 24RLS from ORV.

At this point, we will be towing with a 2019 Ford F-150 with Max trailer towing package (158" wheelbase). The max towing capacity of this vehicle is 12 000 lb.

Any advice is appreciated.
