new member, just sayin hello.

my wife and I upgraded from a tent and sleeping bags to a class A 32' (very used) motor home in march of 2012. we had never driven, or camped in any thing except our various tents over the years, so we were pretty nervous to drive it, or use any of the 'creature comforts' that it had. but since we had just retired we thought we should try something totally new to us. after it sat in the driveway for about three weeks and we had played with everything and read the few manuals the previous owner had given us got up our courage to take it for an overnighter. we located the closest campground to our home that we could find and packed up the things we thought we might need (way to much). we had so much fun on our 'one night' we decided to continue and make it 2, then 3... well, we basically just got home after traveling coast to coast 6 times. WHAT A BLAST! we never thought retirement would be this fun. now we came home to trade-in the motor home we have put over 60,000 miles on and do it all again. we are looking forward to benefiting from the experienced posters on this site, thank you all in advance.

Glad to hear that you're getting out and enjoying RVing to it's full extent.
Hope you are able to continue doing so for many years.
I've only managed the cross continent trips twice in 42 years, and hope to fit in a third soon, lot of sites out there I've only seen in pictures, and I want to see them in person.

Hi folks! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join the bunch here!

Yep, you've been bitten by the RV bug! Once you're bitten, it's fatal! You'll never get over it!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
