Hi All,
This is Robert and Kim from Tampa Florida. We are just getting ready for an extended RV trip around the US and on up to Western Canada and Alaska. I've made this trip before, and it has been my lifes dream to do it again, before I get to where I can't do it at all. I know some of you have been doing this a long time. So I'm asking for your personal "MUST SEE" places to visit and to eat, or places that were so peaceful and lovely they made a very lasting impression on you. I assure you that I will devulge the site if you wish me not to. Low density of visitors can also be a charm. We tend not to be able to appreciate the type sites that are like resorts, with golfing a such. We do like State Parks, Provincial Parks, and National Parks, Preserves, and Sanctuarys. We' prbably start down in the Florida Keys and head North wanting to visit some friends and relatives along the East Coast and them maybe to Toronto. From there, who knows. If anyone has an itinerary for a trip around the US, please do send it. The only requirement is that I visit Alaska between the months of May and September.
Our RV this time is very similar to the one I used last time. Last time it was a 28' Aljo by Skyline, pulled by a Ford F-250 460 Auto, for what we did, I personally feel it was as big as one would want and still be fairly sucessful camping anywhere. My mode now is a 249 Layton Lite made by Skyline. Both nothing fancy, but strong frames and the lights, windows, doors and seams all use butyl tape which I like and of course all rubber roof. This time I've got a Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins. Both nothing fancy, but strong frames. We'll bring our bikes and maybe kayaks.
I'm serious about asking for those SPECIAL PLACES Hopefully we'll meet up somewhere. I'll be the guy with the wave and a smile and my wife, the best baker between here and Sourdough Pass in Alaska.
