Hello everyone. New member here, but been rv'ing since the 70's.
We have a 2012 Forrest River Lexington 283ts and tow a Subaru Crosstrek. I'm retired, and wife retire's next year. We currently take a 4 day trip every 3 to 4 weeks with 2 longer 3-4 week trips a year. Planning on much longer 3-4 month trips when better half retires.
I'll be lurking.

Thanks everyone for the welcome.
Sewgood, to be honest with you I don't keep an eye on milage. It veries betweed 6 and 9 depending on roadway. Flat or mountains. I usually maintain speed about 5 mph or so lower than limit, like 65 in a 70, ect.
I'm pushing a 6 ton box, towing a 3000 lb car through the air, and it is what it is. Learned long time ago not to be concerned with mpg. You don't get into this mode of travel if you have to worry about spending a few extra bucks for gas. Really, in the long run, whats the big savings over getting 9 mpg over 8 mpg?
If you figure a 5000 mile trip, gas at $3 bucks a gallon, the difference betweed 7 mpg and 8 mpg is around $265-$275. Are you really going to worry or cancel or cut short a beautiful road trip for $275 ? Not me !!!
My gas guage reads like this...
Full...no worries, keep on truckin
3/4...no worries, keep on truckin
1/2...thinkin about getting fuel, looking ahead for gas station
1/4...looking for gas station
