New Member says Hi From Nevada!

Found this site via Google search looking for answers regarding Splendide washer/dryer combo unit.

The thread from 2009 was so helpful I decided to join!

I'm a full time RV'er living in Pahrump, NV just outside of Las Vegas Nevada. I've been living in RV's full time for over 12 years and finally outlasted my wonderful 1985 Wilderness Cimarron travel trailer and moved up to a newer 35 foot 5th wheel with 2 slides last March. It is a Skyline Overland 3445.

The only thing I can say about big RV skylights for full timers is DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! NOT EVER! They are greenhouse type solar heat units in the summer and the first thing I did in my first desert summer was cover them up. You can literally feel the difference immediately.

Other than than getting used to the lack of insulation involved with slide outs, I just love this 1995 unit which I parked year round in the same space. Hardwood floor in kitchen area, all oak cabinets, it was taken care of beautifully by the former owner. It is perfect for my semi-retired single living lifestyle. My beautiful co-pilot and soul mate lives in Las Vegas so we are close enough to be together on weekends but still far enough apart to have our own space during the week. Ah, life is good!

I built a flight simulator into the dining table area slide section and I get my flying fix via the computer as flying real airplanes has become way too expensive and regulated.

I am fairly handy with tools and electrical stuff but I am certainly no RV expert and will be leaning on the members here for some helpful hints this spring/summer when I tackle some maintenance tasks.

That's quite a setup. I too miss flying and I have a simulator but haven't used it in a long time.
