New Member upgrading from gas to diesel
Hi all,
We are new to RV's, just bought our first brand new Hurricane 34 ft gas model in Jan 2012 to use for our MINI Car Club and Go Kart Track Days. It worked out great for this use, but we have recently decided we want to take it on the road to attend all the MINI Cooper Events held throughout the country and would like to tow our JCW MINI Coupe in an enclosed trailer along with our go kart.
After driving it only 2000 miles and almost every weekend to the desert and towing a 10ft trailer with kart we noticed it's not the best rig to drive cross county not to mention it only has a 5000lbs towing capacity which will not work if we tow the MINI. So yesterday we went to test drive a Fleetwood Excursion and a Thor Palazzo and decided the Palazzo is the new rig for us. That thing is beautiful
I wish we had planned a little better before we bought the Hurricane but I guess life priorities change and we want to trade it in before Jan so we don't take too much of a depreciation hit.
Anyway sorry for the long post we will probably have tons of questions and have already learned so much from reading this forum for the last couple of days.
Looking forward to learning more,
Joanne & Bill

Congratulations on your decision to purchase the Palazzo! We had a similar story and did a rethink of our original purchase (2010 Thor Serrano) and took delivery of our Palazzo the end of June. We are very pleased with our decision and I hope you will be too?
If you do a search for Palazzo on this WEB site you will find other Palazzo owners and we share our experiences as well as help one another to figure out systems that may not be explained too well in the owner’s manual.
