Hello, I was told to announce my membership so here goes.
Not new to RV's, been involved since 1972 starting with a camper then Class C then Class A I've owned 6 RV's since 1972 and the last 2 were diesel pushers. My current coach is a Winnebago Tour 40CD 40' pusher with a Cummins 400 HP engine and Allison Trans. I really wanted a 42' but I had to settle for a 40' as during the winter, we travel to the Calif. Desert (Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area) commonly known as Glamis and as such, I haul a 20' enclosed trailer and that keep's me legal as far as length goes. (Calif alloWs only a total of 65' unless you have a Class 1 license and a special permit)
I'm retired and 65 years old. I was in the US Air Force 1966 through 1969 then I joined L.A. County Sheriff's Dept and spent 34 years with them retiring in 2003.
My wife and I spend a good amount of time in our coach along with 3 cats. (they're her's not mine LOL)
I also Administer a bulletin board that deals with replica Porsche 550 Spyders and, I have about 40 customers from all over the state of Calif. who exclusively bring their cars to me for service.. I do repairs, tune up's, modifications and most everything involved in keeping these cars on the road.

I'm a very good mechanic/fabricator and general repair guy not only for cars but for my coach. Show me a challenging project and I'll figure it out. I wrote quite a few threads dealing with the modifications I've done on our coach: see:

I'm also a lifetime member of Good Sam (they offer a discount if you're a veteran) and I signed up as one of their "Stand by" members (there to help stranded Rv'ers or those who need help)
Not sure what else I can write about other than I live in Ontario, California and if you have any questions regarding the modifications I made on my coach (link above) don't hesitate to send me a PM
