What an awful season it's been here in MN. May 2nd and we had a snow storm last night. At least it hasn't been great weather while you're waiting for that new rig.

A red CTS-V? Awesum! I love those V's. You drag race it? You'd have a great time on the road course at Brainerd. I spend a bit of time at race tracks in my camper. It's such a great way to travel and play.

That's sure a nice trailer, too.

We did start our season with a trip to Florida where we ordered the new Palazzo. So, a bit of an early start

I am in Florida, right now, so I missed the latest batch of snow. Hopefully it is all gone when I get back Monday!

I do race my CTS-V. I take it to the drag track (runs high 10's, low 11's @ 128 MPH) with the new NHRA 2008+ rule in effect. For brackets, I tune it to run 11.5x since the new rule only applies to the Street Legal events.

I do want to get it out to the road course this year. I put some new Recaros in to help on that front and plan to pick up some Hoosier A6 or R6 (deciding) tires. Additionally, in August, I will also be hitting the Avery Airport run which is an autocross course that is followed up by a 1/2 mile full out run. You get a time for the autox and then a MPH for the 1/2. My goal is to do about a minute on the course and 150 MPH+ in 1/2.

Should be a fun summer

Wow, that's cool. Drag racing a CTS-V. My son has done the Amery auto-x a couple times. 150 is a lofty goal. Fastest I've heard is 136. It's actually only 1/4 mile speed run, with 1/4 mile braking. That's why they call it 1/2 mile. The guy that hit that 136 is a buddy of mine. That was in his C5 Vette with a built 427 motor. He had about 600 h/p in that car (he's since sold it). I don't know what my son ran but I'm sure he was on street tires.

I have a friend that took C6 Z06 out to about 148 down the straight. He does 126 in the quarter so I was hoping to edge him by 2 mph :-)
