New Mini Winnie 2500FL Owner

Greetings.

We come to you from the world of Keystone; our current trailer (to be traded in at the closing in about 5 days) is a 2015 Bullet Premier 19FBPR. We have thoroughly enjoyed that trailer, but the DW wanted something with two required features and one wanted feature. The requirements: a couch or recliner seating (in addition to the dinette) and a walk-in shower (compared to a tub/shower). The want: some sort of isolation between the bedroom and the rest of the living space.

The 2500FL meets the requirements, and as for the "want" item, even though there's only a folding screen to separate the bedroom from the living space (she had something more solid and sound-blocking in mind) it passes muster. This is a nice step up for us, being only 4 feet longer with a GVWR of 500 pounds more than our present unit.

We are both retired from the local public school system. The DH was a physics teacher and the DW filled many positions (clerk, accountant, secretary, data entry).

Prior camping experience: The DH's family camped when he was a youngster; one of the RVs owned was a well-used 1960s-vintage Winnebago motorhome (28 feet if memory fails correctly). The DH's brother currently owns an older Winnie View. The DW's family idea of camping was a Holiday Inn, but she has obviously seen the "error" of that thinking! In the mid-1970s we had a tent, then a used 1974 VW camper van, then back to tenting, then a long hiatus (~35 years). About five years ago when we decided we were going to camp and travel in our retirement the DW stated the following requirements: kitchen, A/C and heat, bathroom and separate shower (i.e., not a wet bath). Of course, the desire to upgrade is mentioned in the opening paragraph.

As for the login name, the DW's parents were from Maine and grew up near a body of water with that name. They eventually built a house that had a view of the pond. We split our time between NE FL & SE ME.
