New Owner
Our Newmar Dutch Star is our first RV. We've rented before and gone from Florida to Maryland and back, but owing is much better and different. I'm looking into RV GPS's and tire pressure monitors. After reading many reviews, I'm not to sure about any of them. I would appreciate any and all advice.Rams

Welcome to Irv2 Rams !!! And congrats on the new Dutch Star. I have the Tire minder and have been very pleased with it. I have IPhone GPS system (HAHAHA) have a Jensen stereo and have found I can get the NAV 104 module to just plug in to my unit and give me GPS. I am debating whether I really need it. My IPhone does very well and with voice and USB connects has served me very well. I wonder about a true RV GPS and whether it would give me d clearance warnings. That is really the only reason I might get a standalone GPS. Good lucK.... There are tons of good info on your RV and upgrades/Mods you will learn about here.

Welcome aboard. Congrats on your new rig.......We bought a TST TPMS. We've used it about two years and it has worked flawlessly. About 3 years ago we bought the Garmin RV 760 with life time maps(LMT). I like the larger screen and the traffic notifications I get. No complaints on the Garmin either. I tend to read a lot of reviews before settling on a product. The other thing I really like about TST is when I phone, someone always answers the phone. Good customer service is as important as a great product.

Thanks to all for the information, I really need it. We also have Hydronic Zone Diesel Heat with continuous Hot water. Not exactly sure how to use it after reading the manual. Had a neighbor try to explain it but she said that sometimes you use the burner and sometimes you don't. Would appreciate advice. Also I'm waiting on locking fuel caps with matching keys. one of the hardest things I have ever had to order. I know people say that if they want your fuel bad enough, they can get it. The reason I want the locking caps is so some nut doesn't pour gas, sugar, or anything else into my fuel tank. The lady at Stant, where I ordered the caps from, was nice enough to give me her direct phone number. I had to call her from the NAPA store to explain to the clerk how to order the caps. Kind of frustrating nut doable.

We have an older GPS unit in our Bus ... not to thrilled with it ... We pretty much use our iPhone for that now ... Will be swapping out our unit for a good stereo blue tooth
re hot water ... when taking a shower for larger after dinner clean up we turn on the diesel burner ... otherwise we just use the electric side .....
Congrats ... Enjoy the adventure
