New owner check in
Just a quick note to say hello. Recently purchased a new to me 1981 Southwind motorhome. Grew up with rv's so my destiny was already written.
I live in VA and plan to go rv'ing as much as possible. I like to go to motorcycle events so now I don't have to book hotels.
Have to do a couple upgrades to the ol' coach but overall it's in great condition for being 31 years old. I've found a bunch of info but any info other folks have on these old ones built on the Chevy P30 chassis is always appreciated. Thanks in advance and happy rv'ing.
Mike

Howdy and welcome aboard. Congrats on the Southwind purchase. I'm sure you'll find plenty of info in the Fleetwood or vintage rv section. There are plenty of experienced people here. Have a great time traveling.

Welcome to the group and good luck with your purchase. I owned a P30 years ago and never had any issues. It had a 454 ci engine which was trouble free as well. Safe trouble free travels when your upgrades are done and enjoy it.
