New RV and new to IRV2

Just picked up our new 5th wheel on June 2nd. We spent the week-end using it, instead of dragging it the 130 miles home, and glad we did. It had a few small problems and one large one. The axles were placed wrong. One side the tires are 1" apart and the other they are 3/8" apart, plus one shackle had lost a nut and was twisted. This allowed the tires to rub when making turns. Lippert is sending two techs to the Dealer tomorrow to fix the axles and will pick it up and bring it home. Love the coach, nicer than and bigger than we really need. But after the Roadtrek 190 this thing is huge. Can't wait to travel and really use. Dale

Hi Dale and welcome to the forum!

Congrats on your new rig. You were wise to spend a few nights in it close to the dealer so you could identify these obvious issues and get them taken care of quickly.

Rick

Hello Dale , and welcome to iRV2.
Nicer and Bigger ?? Your DW can argue with you on the nicer part, and bigger, well I think that all depends on your use of the 5th. Some roads or RV parks may be an issue but overall the more time you spend in it the less " bigger " is any kind of an issue. When my DW and I were only in our 5th's 25 to 35 nights a year we were fine , when we made the change to 90 to 120 nights then we needed to go bigger 31' wasn't enough. But maybe that's just us, I digress.
Get out and enjoy the new rig .Safe Travels
