I am retired military so we will try the RV park on the Naval Air Station. We will drive short days and spend the night at Pecan Park in San Marcos on the way down and back.
Our dinghy may not be ready by the time we go so we may be bicycles only.

Welcome from additional new rv'er's. Know you what you mean about the mountains. We won't be doing that either for a while. We were supposed to pick up our new MH tomorrow but DH is ill so we are hoping for Sat. We are also from north east Texas, Lamar County.

Ok, newbies we too are new and along with a few other newbies are planning a small rally just to test this life style out and meat a few people. Cape Girardeau, MO April 12,13,14. Look under "Forums" then "South Central" and select "Texas Boomers." Not a gambler either but RV Park is one of the nicest we've seen.
