New Solo RVer

Hi, I'm Alison. I recently bought my first RV, a 33ft 2012 Newmar Baystar Class A. I'm intimidated but determined. :-) I plan to travel part-time with my ADA service dog. Homebase is near Oklahoma City. I was in the USAF for 12 years, and had a second career in nursing. I'm retired and set my own pace. I'm interested in almost everything, but I especially like gardening, art, and listening to music.
I look forward to meeting new friends and learning from veteran RVers.

Hi Alison

Glad to have you here with us.

You will soon be a pro at handling your new Bay Star. Take it slow and don't be shy about asking for help.

Browse the forums, especially the Newmar Owners. Ask questions and let us know what we can do for you.

Welcome to the Newmar family.

Alison
Welcome to iRV2 and the RV life style.
Thank you for your service!
Tell us more about what intimidates you and we might be able to provide some tips or guidance re how to learn and gain confidence.
None of this stuff is rocket science. Some can get technical and there are some things that are not just common sense or second nature but your intelligence has gotten you this far and I'm sure you are capable of learning some new things.
As with many things in life attitude is of paramount importance as it is inate... the rest can / will come with work and time but pretty difficult to teach attitude.
Good luck with your ventures and adventures
