New to Columbus RV's

Well lets just say I'm very disappointed with Columbus, this is my 8th rv and by far the worst I've ever owned! It's only 2 months old and have a terrible experience since I've owned it. I work full time out of my rv and live in it more than my house. The "r rating" is a lie on these trailers if it gets over 95 degrees as it does almost everyday in summer in the south it's 85+ inside the rv and worse if you even attempt to cook or open a window shade!! The worst thing is the customer service since I've had it to two dealerships that tell Columbus it's a void in the Insulation/ AC duct, but they refuse to fix the problem! This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced! So tonight I'm in the rv dealership parking lot since they refuse to fix the issue! On a good note clays rv in west Monroe is a big help. Columbus is a good looking Trailer, but it's just dressed up pretty! The beautiful "dark wood" is just cheap tape on OSB board. Of you touch it wrong it will peel and your notice the cheapness. The domestic AC on top os like sleeping with a what sounds like a helicopter hovering over your head!! Needless to say in very disappoint with Columbus but mostly with their lack of caring, good luck on getting a call back and the warranty is useless!!

Welcome and glad to meet you!

Sorry about the RV. Good Sam has an assistance program. Perhaps contacting them could help.

Hi Keith! Welcome to IRV2! We're really glad you joined us!

I would definitely call on Good Sam to see if they can intervene. That sounds like really terrible support from the factory!

BTW, I would suggest that you post questions and comments over in the specific areas of the forum for best results. Not many folks hang out here in the Welcome area so your responses will be very limited. Enjoy the forum!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome to iRV2. Sorry you are so disappointed in your trailer. There are a lot of entry level trailers that add a lot of glitz and bling to make the trailer look more up scale. The beauty is only skin deep. The manufacturers keep selling these trailer because, there are always a supply of newbies out there.

These trailer will be OK as weekend trailer, but long term is where they suffer. The problem is a well built trailer is more costly and heavier which requires a most costly and larger tow vehicle.
